Аннотация
Очерк посвящен известному британскому политику Артуру Гендерсону, трижды занимавшему пост лидера лейбористской партии Великобритании в первые десятилетия XX в., а с 1911 по 1934 г. являвшемуся ее бессменным секретарем. Автор прослеживает, каким был путь Гендерсона в лейбористскую партию, какую роль он сыграл в решающих событиях ее ранней истории, а также его деятельность в рамках военных коалиционных и лейбористских кабинетов (1915-1917, 1924, 1929-1931 гг.).
