Abstract

The essay deals with the famous British Politician Arthur Henderson, who was the Leader of the Labour Party three times in the first decades of the XX-th century, at the same time holding the office of its secretary from 1911 to 1934. The Author traces Henderson’s path into the Labour Party, the role, he played in the crucial events of its early history, his work in the War coalition and Labour cabinets (1915-1917, 1924, 1929-1931).
