Abstract
A method for studying the institutional and lexical context based on corpus linguistics is proposed. This allows you to conceptualize and operationalize the concept of “trust". The method combines quantitative and qualitative analysis of the encoded mass media array, followed by statistical processing. The study revealed that the category “trust” is used in the context of political institutions. At the same time, the personal qualities of politicians are less important than their formal status and willingness to negotiate.
