- Abstract
- Based on the results of an empirical study conducted in an Orthodox parish working with adults with disabilities, the authors consider scenarios of their life strategies, as well as the attitude of society and its Church part to their problems (disability and illness in General). Based on in-depth interviews with teachers of workshops in religious communities and group interviews with disabled people, the author attempts to determine the role of the Church community inovercoming the consequences of stigmatization and “damaged identity”.
