- Abstract
- Methodological problems of the reconstruction of historical processes and phenomena of the archaic society are considered. The author opposes utilitaristic approach that deduces all the changes in the society and culture from the livelihood demands. The key role of reconstruction of cognitive patterns of mentality vis highlighted. The reconstructing of cognitive patterns is to proceed from techniques of thought to mental structures and then to social and cultural practices and individual phenomena.
