- Abstract
The article presents a marble tomb kept in Taman archaeological museum. An epitaph on a stele says that the buried – Batyr-Girei-ogly – became a shakhid and died by the hands of an unfaithful. The dating of the tomb is not earlier than 19th c. The article suggests that Batyr-Girei-ogly was a member of one of the palatine Kabardian family.
