- Abstract
- In 2004-2013 there were found four pendent art seals dated back to the 12th - the first quarter of the 13th cc. by the expedition of the Institute of Archaeology RAS during the extensive excavations on the territory of the Yaroslavl Kremlin. Three seals are princely and another one belonged to a church. According to authors' opinion, one of the princely seals belonged to Vsevolod Konstantinovich (1210-1238), the first Yaroslavl Prince; the second one belonged to Vsevolod Iurievich the Big Nest (1154-1212), his son Iurii Vsevolodovich (1188-1238) or the grandson Vsevolod Iurievich (1213-1238). The third one has not been attributed. The owner of the church seal was the bishop of Smolensk Afanasii who took the position after 1226.
