Abstract

The article discusses the main initiatives of the administration of President J. Biden on industrial policy and reshoring. There is a broad bipartisan nature of support for the reindustrialization of the United States. Critical arguments against the unjustified concept of the post-industrial service economy in favor of the US industrial image restoring are summarized. The main drivers of industrial policy activation, such as the national industrial base technological security and reduction of foreign supplies dependence, aggravation of the US-Chinese technological rivalry are considered. The intensification of proposals to strengthen the planned and even mobilization components during the US reindustrialization was noted. The current data on the reshoring policy results in the United States since 2010 are given. A critical analysis was carried out and the achievements and shortcomings of the Trump administration's reshoring policy were revealed.
