- Abstract
- The article analyzes the political orientation of the Russian population. The author reveals the main attitudes and paradoxes of Russian consciousness regarding the social processes taking place in the country, electoral preferences and political identification. The article examines the attitude of the population to the main political institutions, political involvement and activity of Russians. It is concluded that the political and social activity of Russians has shifted from the Federal level to the local level, in the direction of “close distance". The protection of their private rights is transformed into concern for the public good.
