Abstract
The article reveals the content meaning and structure of the concept of “interethnic (interethnic) consent”, which is intended to replace the concept of “tolerance " in official, scientific and public discourses. Based on the research data (autumn 2014, Moscow), the balance of positive and negative interethnic attitudes of Russian and non-Russian residents of the capital is analyzed, the resource potential of interethnic consent in activating integration processes among Muscovites is estimated, and the main sources (factors) of consent are identified. It is concluded that interethnic harmony is achievable only if the national dignity of all the peoples of Russia is respected and their rights and opportunities are equal.
