Abstract
The article deals with the disciplinary features of economic and sociological Sciences in the study of external migrations. The author emphasizes the limitations of narrow-disciplinary approaches and the need for interdisciplinary integration in order to adequately study external migration, its driving forces, patterns and consequences in the life of sending and receiving societies.
