Abstract
The article deals with the problems of forming a permanent population in the South of the Far East. On the example of Khabarovsk, using sociological research, the main causes of migration moods of local residents are revealed in dynamics. The more difficult living conditions in this region are not compensated by the state. Institutional actions that provide direct support to the population are proposed.
