- Abstract
- The article explores the conceptual forms and ways of understanding social unity, their connections and correlation. Two aspects of social integration are analyzed: social cohesion (solidarity, consent) and social regulation (rules, norms, values), and the interaction between them. The special role of “abstract rules " in large societies of the XXI century, in particular, in Russian society, is emphasized. The article reveals the importance of civil solidarity, which combines cohesion and adherence to common rules.
