- Abstract
- The article analyzes the potential and real migration mobility of Russians in modern Russia, the dynamics and directions of population movements, the structure of migration flows, migration attitudes and attitudes to migration. An assessment of the migration intentions of the population in modern Russian society is given based on data from a study conducted in 2014, which is compared with data from other sociological surveys. The author identifies three social vectors of flow formation: demographic, social status, and professional. The article shows that emigration is aimed at mostly young people, while the intention to migrate is significantly balanced by other equally important social orientations and intentions – to study, gain experience in their chosen profession, temporarily work, travel, spend a vacation, and other opportunities to learn about the world.
