Abstract
It examines the relationships between men, bodies, emotional life, and the ways in which emotions are created within postmodern masculinities. In the study of the means by which men narrativize their lives, the question is raised about the concept of hegemonic masculinities that support the rational traditions of modernity. Viewing the emotional and personal as "therapeutic “ – contrasted with” political" in Connell's work-makes it difficult to explain cultures, bodies, emotions, and sexualities competently.
