Abstract
The article discusses the culture of food among the locals of the Nagatinskaia District, Moscow Region, that represented two groups of the Old Believers: beglopopovtsy of Vetkovskoe soglasie (“fugitive priests of the Vetka agreement”) and neokruzhniki of Belokrinitskaia ierarkhiia (“non-conformists of the Belokrinitskaia church hierarchy”). The period of the late 19 th - early 20 th centuries is under consideration. The author argues that the culture of food was influenced by a number of factors such as religious belonging, economic activity, lifestyle of people, as well as close distance to the capital.
