Abstract
The article draws on the results of analysis of odontometric indicators in paleo-groups for the period from the Upper Paleolith through the present, which was conducted in order to explore the changeability of basic odontometric criteria and their correlations in the given time interval. A range of novel data are introduced for the fi rst time into odontometric analysis, such as data related to Mesolithic and Paleolithic forms from Murzak-Koba I, Murzak-Koba II, Fat'ma-Koba I, as well as Kostenki 14. Values of mesiodistal and vestibule-lingual diameters have been compared on the first and second molars of the upper and lower jaws and the data have been analyzed through bivariate correlation graphs. It is argued that the forms analyzed differentiate within the range of each of the periods taken (Upper Paleolith, Mesolith, Neolith), and the author explicates on the specifi city of each period in detail.
