- Abstract
- The article draws attention to the rubric of Christian ecological theology which, as an applied branch studying the perception of relations "human/natural" and "God/Nature" in sacred texts, has been recently spreading around in Russia. Different ecotheologists, as the author observes, still hold to different approaches to the issue of "Christianity and ecology". Some suggest modifying Christianity itself and making it more ecological; others think that it should be adapted to the contemporary condition while remaining within the traditional framework. The author offers a typology of ecotheological teachings, drawing on a number of representative works.
