Abstract
Paleoanthropological findings from the Korean peninsula may testify, as the authors argue, to the possibility that the region had been settled very early in history. According to the discussed anthropological evidence, it is possible to speak of both the continuity between the earliest and later population strata, and the facts of migrations and partial changes of the earliest population as a result of the influx of incoming groups. The findings also suggest ways of reconstructing the way of life of the earliest inhabitants of the peninsula.
