Abstract
The article discusses the basic stages of the immigration process among the Bukhara Jews, that is the process which had been unfolding since the late nineteenth century and resulted by the present time in what is a nearly complete disappearance of their diaspora in Central Asia. The author analyzes the issue of the current state and evolution of Bukhara Jews' identity in the condition of their contemporary patterns of living.
