Abstract
The article considers the evolution of architectonic forms of Greek-Catholic altar screen in the context of Latinisation of the Greek-Catholic church ritual on the territory of Rzecz Pospolita in the eighteenth century. After the Council of Zamost’e in 1720, high solid iconostases were gradually replaced by open altar screens of different shapes. In some cases, the screen was abolished, which eliminated last differences between a church of the Bizantine ritual and a Roman-Catholic church (kościół).
