Abstract

The excavations of voevoda’s (governor’s) seat in the Tomsk kremlin in 1983–2007 yielded over 1000 fragments of leather represented mainly by shoe details and cutting-out leftovers. The paper provides the description and systematization of the collection of leather articles. The resulting information made a substantial contribution to the study of material culture of medieval Tomsk giving the idea of an important aspect of daily life of town dwellers in the last third of the 17th – mid‑18th century AD.
