Abstract
The article analyzes the changing role of manufacturing in the contemporary USA economy. Industries structure of American economy is shown in details. The manufacturing share of GDP is decreasing for a long period. At the same time absolute volume of manufacturing output continues to increase. Service industries’ share of GDP has permanent growth. That’s why American economy become the service economy. Information and IT sector is expending. Almost 80 percent of GDP and employees belong to service industry. In the United States in December 5, 2016 market the 225th anniversary of Alexander Hamilton’s report on manufacturing to Congress. He saw manufacturing as a way of helping the country become "independent of foreign nations for military and other essential supplies". Since October 2011 Americans are celebrating Manufacturing Day on the first Friday of month. Federal Government established Manufacting Extension Partnership (MEP) to assist small and medium - sized manufacturing companies. The Artide’s tables help author to research employment and structure of manufacturing and interconnection service industry with manufacturing. There is pointed out in the article that the United States is still going to be the leader in the World and World Economy by any price.
