Abstract
The article deals with methodological aspects of the institutional functions of education, which are one of the basic structures of modern sociology of education. Theoretical and socio-practical prerequisites and criteria for determining these functions are discussed. It is proved that the development of this problem is a condition for the development and implementation of the socio-practical potential of this special sociological theory.
